Hello Katey , thank you for this interesting video . I check the list of in gredients of this product , it contains angelica archangelica extract and grapefruit that gives extra photosensivity to the skin …perhaps it’s one of the reason of your sunburns?

I’m guessing you know a lot about ingredients. I’m so glad you’re here! Do those extracts have lasting power, even after being washed off skin, with 12-20 hours in between use and then exposure to the sun? If yes, then you’re definitely right! I thought it was because the product had done it’s job exfoliating, and therefore left my skin defenseless against the sun’s rays!

Hi, just a random question, how do you fee, about the tarte rainforest by the sea foundation? They say it’s vegan but I’m not sure if they have truly safe ingredients in there.

    • kateydenno says:

Great question. Tarte is a brand that I’m asked about a lot because they have a lot of messaging that would make you think they’re a non-toxic brand, but unfortunately they’re not. Sometimes companies say things like ‘gluten free’ or ‘vegan’ or ‘paraben free’, and it leads buyers to think: this is 100% safe! 🙁

Is it safe for sensitive skin?

    • kateydenno says:

Good question. Sensitive skin means such different things to different people, so it’s hard for me to answer with certainty. I read a study done by a derm foundation that polled people and 75 % of women said they have sensitive skin, while their dermatologists said only 20% of them did. So…
All of that said, if you have reactions to any acid products- like alpha hydroxy acids, or any sort of product that takes the top layer off… I’d say to stay away! It’s a pretty intense product, and I was surprised I didn’t have a reaction to it.
